California Human Development is hiring Crew Leaders and General Laborers to work in Shasta County. If you are long-term unemployed or self-employed and became unemployed or underemployed consequence of the Carr Fire Disaster in 2018, you might be eligible to earn good wages and help in our community’s wildfire clean up and recovery. Experience: Crew Leaders: Experience felling trees is required and must be certified to operate and maintain a chainsaw, in addition to working outdoors in harsh weather conditions. Must be willing and able to supervise and lead a crew in a professional manner. General Laborers: Experience working outdoors in harsh weather conditions. Should be familiar with landscaping, clearing trails, stacking rounds and tree limbs, etc. Chainsaw experience is a plus. About The Position: • Full-Time/Temporary Assignments • Must have reliable transportation and transport self to and from work • Strong work ethic • Valid driver's license • Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs. • Must be able to work outdoors in both hot and cold environments • Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening • Must pass Background Check • Must be able to communicate, understand and follow instructions • Must provide required documentation Successful candidates must work as a team, be safety oriented and able to take direction well.
