Texas State Rentals is looking for a Yardman at their Manor location. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities for Yardman will organize and maintain all medium to heavy equipment in the yard. Yardman must have solid work ethic who manages multiple tasks at once. Must be flexible to learn and assist multiple positions as deemed necessary. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greeting customers in friendly and professional manner. • Assist customer with parking for unloading and loading. • Visually check equipment and take necessary pictures. • Log hours off the equipment • Assess fuel needs and fuel logs • Verify Serial Number on machines. • Ground maintenance • Presentation/Order/Parking of equipment on the yard. • Keep equipment neat and organized. • Quality Control of equipment return and checkout for next rental • Immediately report any damage on facilities and equipment. • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing a safe work environment and take an active role in a safe work environment. • Communication all team members and be able to assist in any department area when needed. • Other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum high school/GED education and prefer 1 year of experience in construction industry and customer service. • Ability to operate trucks, construction, and consumer equipment. • Must be flexible and highly organized. • Must be honest, respectful, and trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethics. • Valid driver’s license; prefer Forklift license. • Willingness to learn. • Must be active listener and exercise sound judgement. • Must have the ability to follow instructions. • Excellent customer service skills. • Exhibit a cheerful presence and teamwork skills. • Accurate and detail oriented. • Must be able to pass criminal background check at time of hire.
