Cable, Fiber, & Data Technicians Needed for Immediate Hire Experience preferred -- On the job training is available Broadband Telecom Services is hiring Cable Installation Technicians in all of our service areas (Dallas, Forth Worth Austin, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley). Job Description: Cable Installation Techs at Broadband Telecom Services (BTS) install cable and fiber for Spectrum Services; in both commercial and residential settings. Cable Installation Techs have to work independently and have good communication skills for customer service. Experience: preferred, but not required Physical Requirements: This is a physical job that requires the strength (lift up to 60 lbs) and ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 32 feet in the air. You must be able to use hand tools such as, cordless drills, wire cutters, etc. Technical Skills: Technical skills can be taught and proper technique of cable installation will be explained. Tech will use handheld testing devices to check signal strength, setting up customer devices. Cable Techs must work in many different settings and be able to problem solve each setting with professionalism and good customer service. Compensation: BTS believes in rewarding those who work harder….more. Therefore, we have a production pay structure. The more you accomplish, the more you make, it’s not a straight hourly rate.
