Seeking a team-player with a flexible work schedule (available days, nights, weekends and holidays). All applicants must be able to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal background. Misdemeanor theft convictions (petty theft, larceny, etc.) and felony violations will prevent the state from issuing pari-mutuel license) Reliable transportation a must due to public transit may not be running for the late shift. VAULT SERVICE CASHIER OVERVIEW: ($7.50 per hour + tips) Assist guests with check cashing, chip sales, redemption and credit transactions in a pleasant and professional manner in compliance with Internal Controls. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Count drawer at start of shift, verify cash amount and document according to standard procedures * Issue chips and tokens to customers for cash * Receive payments for markers and record in the computer system * Send paid markers to the bank * Redeem complimentary checks in accordance with standard procedures * Redeem chips and tokens for cash at customer request * Cash all checks within standard procedures * Accept and redeem payments for front money for safekeeping * Verify and process vault buys for gaming funds or fills * Receive hard / soft count drops into the vault * Balance the drawer at the end of the shift * Prepare deposits to the bank * Other duties as assigned by Management QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: * Ability to communicate in English * Knowledge of basic math and calculating procedures * Outstanding customer service skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills WORKING CONDITIONS: * Walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, bending, kneeling periodically * Repeated use of hands, wrist, and arms. * Long periods of sitting (dealer) / standing (cocktail server). * Consistent reaching * Overtime work on "as needed" basis PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: * Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws * Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance * Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others * Treat all guests, vendors and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency * Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior * Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted * Abide by portion control standards * Required to be certified under food handlers program within 90 days * * Hours vary.
