Hours and Shift MONDAY -FRIDAY **Temp To Hire ** 6:45am -3:15pm Pay Rate $15-19 Job Description Responsibility and accountability of inspecting finished/completed parts, while adhering to quality standards. Employee also has the obligation and authority to complete all tasks assigned. Job Duties/Responsibilities The Quality Inspector is directly responsible for, but not limited to, the following: • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed. • Ensure that all safety policies are followed and that commonsense prevails at all times. • Promote and foster team spirit and communication with co-workers and other departments. • Maintain and promote the QUALITY POLICY and workmanship standards. • Maintain a neat appearance and work area at all times. • Comes to work prepared with appropriate clothing. • Perform receiving, in process, final shipping inspection and test functions when required. • Read, interpret and apply engineering and process documentation, and workmanship standards, as required. • Works in conjunction with the Quality Lead to satisfy QUALITY requirements. • Maintain communication with ALL shifts. • Set-up and operate test equipment, as required, to accurately test and measure received, in process and final product. • Held accountable when deciphering good or bad parts. • Perform physical, dimensional and cosmetic inspections. • Review and validate quality records, work instructions and daily inspection reports for completeness and accuracy. • Prepare record of inspection documentation and test reports and documentation. • Accurately makes entries on work orders, and all other reports and documentation. • Documents non-conformance on TNT’s “non-conformance report (NCMR) neatly accurately, explaining the nature of the non-conformance so that the appropriate personnel can understand the problem/s. • Move all non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies, to designated area/s. • communicate errors or discrepancies in drawings, checklists, procedures, work orders, equipment, etc…that may be recognized within the area of responsibility. • Must be familiar with and able to properly use the following tool: digital and dial micrometers, digital and gage calipers, height gages, use of jo- blocks, pin gages, taper gages, thread gages, 6” rule. Job Requirements Education & Training • Minimum of elementary school, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. • The Plant Manager, Vice President, and/or President can determine whether education and training are “equivalent” based on his/her experience. • Two (2) years of Quality Control or Manufacturing experience and process knowledge is a plus Technical Requirements • Must be able to read and understand simple technical drawings, drafts and documents. • Must be willing and be able to learn to utilize correctly some common Q.C. tools, i.e. calipers, micrometers, blocks, gages, etc. Language Skills • The Quality Inspector must be able to communicate clearly, as well as understand how to read and write English. • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. • Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization. Physical Requirements • Regularly required to lift and carry heavy loads up to 30 lbs. • Regularly required to walk, bend, climb, lift, push, pull, use both hands, and fine finger manipulation. • Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts. • Regularly works in outside weather conditions. • Regularly works in high places. • Regularly works with color-coded components, and/or colored parts and resins. • Regularly works in a noisy environment.
