Our firm is hiring for a Utility Service Worker for a transportation company located in Montclair, CA. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to this position: Using high-pressure equipment dispenses compressed natural gas (CNG) into buses; fuels cars and support equipment (rolling stock) with gasoline. Sweeps, mops, dusts and cleans rolling stock; operates cleaning and washing equipment including pressure washers, bus washes and manual cleaning gear. Removes, empties and reinstalls fare box vaults. Checks and dispenses fuel, (gasoline, CNG and diesel), oil and water and other fluids. Checks for air system and fluid leaks, tire pressure and wear, inoperative lighting, unusual sounds, and unusual conditions, and reports defects to the Shift Supervisor. Checks batteries and adds water as required. May operate light vehicles to transport parts and supplies. Assists in cleaning work area. Moves rolling stock in order to perform services at the fuel island. Moves rolling stock between divisions and to vendors as necessary. Provides vacation and temporary relief as required. Performs all other duties as assigned. The hours for this position are Thursday through Monday from 6pm to 3:30am. Please do not apply unless you are ok with working these hours.
