Description

Seasoned (but eternally youthful) musician with a wide range of tastes, knowledge of music theory/history, and lots of gas in the tank seeks fellow musicians to hang out, play songs, sing/harmonize, improvise, mine old gems, stumble upon new tunes (and/or rework old ones), exchange ideas/knowledge, generate sound/groove, and/or otherwise have a determinedly good time in a musical context. I play several instruments (e.g., guitar, bass, drums) and enjoy many styles/genres, though I am ultimately rooted in the good old rock-n-roll (and pop) of my youth (50s/60s/70s/80s/90s). Lately I've been listening to lots of Dylan, Dead/JGB, The Band, and things of that nature, while also going through the archives of other artists from those decades. I figured that would be a good place to start compiling song lists (hence the posting title). I prefer to focus on playing guitar (rhythm/lead) at first, but don't mind playing bass, drums, and/or keys, as needed. Whatever serves the situation best. I don't mind singing lead, but also enjoy singing backup/harmony. The process of finding chemistry/compatibility among musicians can be daunting, but I'm giving it another shot. *Disclaimer*: I would rather stay home and/or do something else rather than wrangle with egos and/or have a bad time in a musical context. If it works, we can consider ourselves lucky. If not, that's okay too. We wish each other well and move on. No hard feelings. I do not currently have my own practice space or studio, but will gladly pitch in on rental space, studio time, equipment, etc. I am self sufficient and a team player. I pull my weight and will not waste your time. If you are interested/curious, shoot me an email. At very least we can ask questions, exchange ideas, and see where it goes. Aloha, D
