BROCKTON, MA — Plymouth County Superior Court in Brockton announced Wednesday that it has closed temporarily due to COVID-19 exposure. According to the district's website, an attorney who was last at the courthouse on Feb. 5 has tested positive for COVID-19. The courthouse will be cleaned during the closure and reopen Friday, Feb. 12. The temporary closure of Plymouth County Superior Court comes after the state announced a 90-day plan for operations on Jan. 8. The plan, which will last through April 5, includes staffing court offices at 50% capacity, adopting a phased approach to resuming jury trials, developing jury trial priority plans, and expanding remote operations.
