Coast Personnel Services is seeking Wood Crate Packaging Supervisor for a client in Newark, CA. This is a temp to hire position on an early morning shift. Candidate must be able to work from 3am to 12 or 7am to 4pm able to cover both shifts of early morning and half of second morning shift. The primary responsibility of the Wood Crate Packaging Supervisor is to supervise and manage a team of crate builders and packers with the proper handling, packing, crating of art objects, fragile and artistic material, using the appropriate methods Job Description: • 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment: Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements. • 2) Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments. • 3) Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications. • 4) Starts, adjusts, and repairs packaging machinery, or notifies maintenance department. • 5) Trains workers in operation of equipment. • 6) Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to work stations. • 7) Performs other duties as described under Supervisor Please send resume to [email protected] or call 408-653-2100 ext. 8108 for more information
