SUMMARY: We are looking for a LTE Field Service Technician (cellular upgrades) who is eager to grow within the organization. This individual needs to possess, clear communication, ability to think quick on their feet while using hardware and hand tools as needed. This LTE Field Service Technician is responsible for upgrading cellular alarm communicators in customers sites, ranging from simple circuit board swaps to alarm control panel while following First Alarm’s procedures. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Possesses Electro-Mechanical Aptitude. • Self-Schedules previously arranged cellular upgrade visits with customers. • Performs on-site assessment of best cell solution employing provided test equipment. • Determines necessary parts and equipment necessary to perform upgrade. • Performs radio module replacement, testing all results into monitoring station for satisfactory performance. • May perform complete control panel upgrade to meet new module requirements, including wiring, mounting, programming and testing. • Completes paperwork/on-line data entries necessary to document work performed. • Provides excellent customer experience throughout the upgrade process including one-stop solution, answering customer questions, and completing the job in a clean, workmanship manner. • Maintains sufficient vehicle inventory of all required components (cell communicators and various alarm panels and components to allow work to be accomplished during initial site visit. • Maintains safe driving and vehicle cleanliness conditions at all times. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a clean DMV record and be over the age of 21 to drive our vehicles • High School Diploma or GED (required) • Provide a positive customer journey with servant leadership skills to resolve and retain customers • Strong mechanical/electronic aptitude (knowledge of basic electronics and diagnostic tool use a plus). • Comfortable working with hand tools and on ladders. • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. • Positive customer presence. • Works well independently, is self-directed and possesses good organizational skills. • Basic computer skills. • Multi-Lingual skills a plus. • Detail-oriented/multi-tasker • Must be able to maintain calm, professional demeanor while working at customer sites and speaking with difficult customers • Must be punctual and reliable • Passionate about implementing changes to a growing company Candidates must be able to pass a stringent background check, inclusive of drug testing.
