Make a difference in the life of an individual with a developmental disability by opening your heart & home as a Host Home Provider / Caregiver! A Host Home Provider is a caregiver that works as an independent contractor through Stepping Stone Support Center to provide and coordinate care for an individual who is unable to meet their care needs independently. It is NOT required that you be a CNA. This role is compensated at a daily rate (vs. hourly) and has the potential to earn $1,800 - $4,800 total monthly, tax-exempt income! Often, not only does this individual quickly become a valuable member of your family, but you to their family as well! What does a Host Home Provider do? Provides a safe, supervised, & nurturing environment Promotes independence & supports skill-building Responds to the unique needs of an individual Assists with medical needs, hygiene, appointments, meal preparation, & other aspects of daily living, as appropriate for the individual Enhances a person's day-to-day life by helping them connect with their community, build relationships, participate in activities, & much more Works enthusiastically to assist the person in achieving goals, & works with them to build their version of a meaningful life Provides behavioral interventions in an effective, calm, & caring manner Skills Necessary: Caring & giving with a good sense of humor Patient with a high stress threshold Creative, able to implement a fun, tailored schedule at home & in the community Comfortable with performing necessary aspects of care which vary from person to person, but may include meal preparation, medication management, bathing, toileting (including use of incontinence wear,) seizure and behavioral support Able to be available during the day if the individual does not attend a day program or work setting Able to complete CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, QMAP & other necessary trainings (many are offered through Stepping Stone) Able to pass a criminal background check and thorough screening through Stepping Stone Support Center Able to meet home requirements of HUD and Stepping Stone Location: Your home, in the following suburbs of Denver: Lakewood, Littleton, Arvada, Golden, Morrison, Highlands Ranch, Southwest Centennial, or Southwest Denver Area. There is a high demand for homes with main floor bed/bathrooms and wheelchair accessibility! NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT APPLICANTS WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE LISTED AREAS. Why Stepping Stone?
