Description

Unite with Jews, Christians and Muslims to help American Red Cross staff check-in donors and sterilize equipment Since the pandemic began, thousands of American Red Cross blood drives have been canceled, resulting in over 300,000 fewer blood donations. Meanwhile, the need for blood has increased by 30% as hospitals resume surgical procedures and treatments that had been halted earlier due to coronavirus. To meet this need, AAi is partnering with American Red Cross who is urgently seeking blood donations to prevent another shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic. Join a small team of Jews, Christians, and Muslims volunteering to assist Red Cross staff by checking-in donors upon arrival, and sterilizing equipment between donations, refilling canteen table for donors post-donation, and making sure donors are feeling well before departure. No experience is necessary! American Red Cross staff will train you to accomplish these tasks easily and safely, providing everything you need. Shift 1: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Shift 2: 11:45 AM to 4:30 PM Age Requirements: Ages 18+ Social Distancing and Face Masks required. Gloves, hand sanitizer, and wipes provided.
