PORTSMOUTH, RI — As Rhode Island's vaccination effort ramps up, Portsmouth officials are preparing for larger-scale efforts, starting with residents 75 and older.
At this time, the town does not have an official waiting list or registry for the vaccine. Residents with questions about the town's vaccination effort can call 401-643-0323 or email [email protected].
In late January, Portsmouth received 90 vaccine doses from the Rhode Island Department of Health for the initial, small-scale pilot program. These doses were allocated to a limited number of elderly residents.
"The Town thanks you for your continued patience as we all work through the complexities of ensuring all of Portsmouth's 17,000+ residents who want the COVID-19 vaccine receive one," town officials said in a statement.
