Join coaches Madison and Tyler for 3 hours of strategizing, skill work and competition-style fitness, at Paradiso’s first Open prep seminar.
Excited for the open but not feeling super ready for it?! This past year has been crazy, and it has been nearly 16 months since the last Crossfit Open, so if you answered yes to that question, you are NOT alone. But don’t worry, there is still time!
Purpose: This seminar is for people who will be participating in the Open, and are looking for help in maximizing their performance. Open to all skill levels, we ask that you are prepared and capable of working out for two hours, and are signed up for the open.
Schedule:
12:30-1:15- lecture/discussion on Open workout strategies, nutrition and workout schedule during the 3 weeks of the Open, pacing, mindset, workout analyzing and breakdown, etc.
1:15-2:15- Breakout groups (skill work + mini workouts)
Group 1- row and burpee technique
Group 2- open movement technique (DB Snatch, Box Jumps, barbell movements, etc.)
2:15-2:45- Break/ finish workout strategizing
2:45-3:30- COMPETITION
Athletes will compete in two heats (rx and scaled). Each athlete will be assigned a judge from the opposite heat, and will be able put what they learned during this seminar to work!
We have prize packages for the winners, which will include goodies from Nocco, Barebells, Painkllr/KnowZero, and private training vouchers from coaches Tyler and Madison.
Extra Info: Tyler and Madison will support you during the Open, Nocco and Barebells are sponsoring the event, so those will be available to athletes throughout the seminar. We will also have a photographer there, so pictures will be emailed out following.
