Press release from Ramsey County: February 9, 2021 At their Feb. 9 meeting, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners proclaimed February as Black History Month. The theme for the 2021 Ramsey County and City of Saint Paul Black History Month observance is "Recognizing the Black Family." In the proclamation, which was read by Commissioner Ortega, the board urged all county employees and residents to honor, celebrate and support Black families as they hold deep roots of wisdom, progress and resilience. The proclamation was accepted by Racial & Health Equity Administrators Prince Corbett and Sara Hollie, and Black History Planning Co-Chair Arlene Hubbard. Watch the presentation.
