Local Muscle is seeking drivers and movers - Full time and Part time positions are available. We offer competitive hourly wages in addition to tips and other incentives. Drivers receive additional hourly compensation according to driving capabilities. For driving positions, a CDL is not needed, but a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required. Our drivers must also be at least 20 years of age. Drivers are expected to work as a team member, perform moving duties and interacting productively with customers alongside our movers. Applicants must be able to lift at least 60 pounds throughout the course of a normal workday, and are often required to move up and down stairs for sustained periods of time. We are currently hiring for weekdays and weekends. Prior Moving Experience a plus but not required - we are willing to train the right employee. We also value experience in other physically oriented fields as well as customer service experience. Job Responsibilities: -Arrive reliably and on time to all scheduled shifts prepared to carefully handle items both light and heavy -Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and with co-workers -Properly use moving equipment and supplies provided by Local Muscle as needed and requested -Share responsibility with the moving crew in accurately completing paperwork and payment calculation -Participate in a drug free workplace -Improve and develop moving skills and techniques through observation and experience The Ideal Candidate will have: -Strong verbal and written communication skills -A professional and adaptive attitude -Teamwork skills and a sense of shared responsibility -Motivation to keep moving and stay productive -Appreciation for day-to-day variety on the job Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $16.50 per hour + tips + Heavy item fees + daily overtime when working more than 8 hours in a day. COVID-19 considerations: Moving can involve close-quarters teamwork at times, and mask, glove, and sanitizer regimes have been adopted for all moving work (as well as administrative staff). All employees have access to this equipment and are expected to use it appropriately.
