DAVIDSON, NC — More than two dozen drivers received speeding tickets this week in Davidson. At least five crimes were reported to town police this week, including three assaults, a larceny and a stolen vehicle, according to the most recent DPD blotter.
DPD wrote 58 tickets this past week, 40 percent of which were issued on Griffith Street. The street proved to be a hotspot for drivers going over the speed limit. Nearly half of the 28 speeding citations issued in town this past week for speeding were issued on Griffith Street.
Davidson Police made the following arrests last week:
Noel George Brown, 27, was arrested Feb. 6 on Interstate 77, charged with order for arrest from Iredell County Tariq Jamal Hodges, 23, was arrested on Beaty Street, charged with assault on a female Dajoui Jana Scott, 23, was arrested on Beatty Street, charged with simple assault Here are the crimes reported to DPD between Feb. 2 - Feb. 8, 2021:
