DACULA, GA — Donors, students and staffers broke ground earlier this month for an expansion to Hebron Christian Academy that will accommodate 100 more students.
The new two-story Elementary School Building will add eight classrooms — four with their own bathrooms — along with a teacher workroom, and office and storage space.
Also, Hebron's existing cafeteria will be expanded, and a second state-of-the-art playground will be added, according to Rebecca Reinhardt, director of admissions, marketing and communications.
Donor families helped pay for the new building, Reinhardt said, while Hebron students staged a fundraiser late last year to finance the playground.
The expansion will accommodate students from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. It's expected to open in August, in time for the 2021-2022 school year.
Established in 1999, Hebron Christian Academy is a ministry of the Hebron Church and fully accredited. As of 2011, Hebron Christian was ranked 12th by Atlanta Business Chronicle in its list of Atlanta's 100 Largest Private Christian Schools. The school is located in Dacula.
