Mal is a 1.5 yr old AKC Belgian Malinois. She has been started on bite work and latches well. She targets well and listens to her commands before and during and after work well. She is NOT for someone who doesn’t know about the breed or her training. She’s been allowed to run free in the backyard and has 5x10 kennel. She is also housed trained. She DOES NOT do well in crates. She does ok in a vehicle but long distances will drool. She gets along with other dogs and selective on cats. Not good with other kinds of animals though like chickens, ducks, goats, etc. The only time we used an e-collar was prevent her from barking and running up and down fence lines barking at livestock. We have not used one to train her with personal protection. She will not make a bomb detection dog but perhaps a drug dog maybe if you wanted to train her for dual purpose. She is a chewer and pretty hard on toys and firewood stacks. She is friendly towards other people, kids and does well with them. She’s not a dog we worry about biting someone coming to take care of her in our absence. She baths and grooms well. She is up to date on shots, snake bite shot, worming and she has been spayed. I have her papers in hand for lineage and ownership. She needs an experienced and knowledgeable home only as she’s going require someone who understands what they are signing up for with her.
