TUSCALOOSA, AL — The city of Tuscaloosa says the U.S. Postal Service informed city officials that it is experience delays processing and delivering mail in the area, which had prompted the city to take action ahead of the March 2 municipal election. You can also support local journalism by donating as little as $5 a month to become a supporting member or by downloading our free Patch mobile app. The city said via press release Wednesday that registered voters wishing to vote by absentee ballot will have additional options, including: An elections information desk located just inside the door to City Hall via the skybridge on the parking deck's fourth floor.A secure lock box outside of the door to City Hall on the parking deck's fourth floor that can be used for after-hours drop-off. Voters may also drop off absentee applications and ballots at the information desk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or in the lock box any time.
