TRUSSVILLE, AL — Members of a newly appointed committee of city and school officials are reviewing applications to choose the next Trussville City Schools board member. A Trussville Tribune report said Trussville City Council will choose the next member of the board, but the council developed the committee of five to narrow down the candidates. The committee consists of: Barry Choat; Mayor, City of TrussvilleAlan Taylor; President, Trussville City CouncilLisa Bright; Trussville City Council BOE liaisonMandy Dixon; HR Director, City of TrussvilleKathy Brown; President, Trussville City School BoardMembers of the committee met Feb. 8 to review applications and are currently in the process of selecting candidates to interview.
