From the City of Brookhaven: February 9, 2o21 The Brookhaven City Council acted on several items in its Feb. 9 business meeting, held via video conference, with public input offered through email and by online comments on Zoom. The action items are as follows: The Council unanimously approved an ordinance to amend sections 27-67, 27-68, and 27-1336, of the Brookhaven City code, related to average front yard setbacks. The Mayor and Council unanimously approved a consent agenda which included: The minutes of the Jan. 26 virtual Work Session and Regular Meetings. The Mayor nominated and Council subsequently approved appointment of Kimberly D. Adams to the Planning Commission. The Council received a presentation of the Community Development Block Grant public meeting and hearing schedule. The Council unanimously approved a contract amendment for Community Planning Insights for the change order for delivery of the Brookhaven analysis of impediments to affordable housing choice. The Council unanimously approved the Buford Highway Improvement Plan and Economic Development Strategy 5-year Plan Update. The Council unanimously approved the North Druid Hills Pedestrian Bridge conceptual design. The Council unanimously approved the amendment to the 2021 General and CIP Fund Budgets, appropriating $150,000 from the General Fund Sidewalk Bank Assigned Fund Balance to the CIP Fund Professional Services Expenditure Account for additional costs associated with P2020-330 Briarwood Multi-Use Path Project. The Council unanimously approved a resolution affirming the City's support of the continued operations of the DeKalb Community Service Board at 2660 Osborne Road.
