DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The Chamblee Boys & Girls Club will soon have new upgrades to its gym, thanks to BodyArmor Sports Drink and the Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young.
BodyArmor and 10 Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation partnered on BodyArmor Builds, an initiative to support youth-oriented projects around the country, over the last month, according to a news release Feb. 10. Young led the initiative for Atlanta, teaming up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
Every club submitted two projects in need of improvement and fans voted for the one they wanted BodyArmor to help fund — and the Chamblee Boys & Girls Club will receive funding for both projects for a total of $15,000. The club will receive:
Gym floor cleaning and high solid gym finishTwo ceiling-mounted basketball hoops and cheer uniforms BodyArmor visited the Chamblee Boys & Girls Club this week for a check handout ceremony and donation of the company's sports drink product.
"Thanks to Trae's support, BodyArmor will be funding both projects submitted," the release said.
