Want to spend your summer working with horses and enjoying the beautiful outdoors? How about riding horses through Montana's mountainous landscape exploring undiscovered terrain? Ready for a summer of unforgettable memories and unbreakable bonds you'll form with the horses? If this sounds up your alley, then this job is the job for you! A trail riding ranch up in Big Sky is looking to add to our 2020 summer team. We need people with horse knowledge and people skills. What we do at this unique dude ranch requires a particular skill set. Some of the requirements are the following: • 2+ years of horse experience preferred but not required • Personable, hardworking, and dedicated • Able to follow directions • Able to work without supervision • Fast and efficient thinking • Problem solving skills • Able to lift 50lbs • Show up on time • Go-Get-Er mindset • Positive attitude • Must be 18 years old or older • CPR and First Aid within 2 weeks of hire date • Take people out for anywhere from 1 hour to 8 hour rides a day. With 2 to 8 people on the ride • Able to drive horse trailers and tractors or willing to learn We take kids from the age of 7 to adults capable of riding. We also offer pack trips and fishing trips throughout the summer and hunting trips during the fall. (We will not exclusively hire just for pack trips) Employment after the summer season is an option. We have over 75+ horses we care for. Riding young horses and exploring the Gallatin Custer National Forest, Lee Metcalf National forest and Yellowstone National Park are all a part of this fantastic job.
