This position is responsible for providing warehouse services including pulling boxes and files and packing orders, inventory control, shipping and deliveries via company truck or van and operating forklifts. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work with all departments to ensure product is stored and provided in a timely manner. Responsibilities and Duties: Operate forklifts and company vehicles. Maintain records of boxes of documents received and transferred. Perform inventory adjustments and update the same in database. Analyze and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion. Process purchase orders timely and follow-up on pending orders Prioritize and perform daily workload assigned by supervisor. Prepare and submit inventory control reports to supervisor. Respond to enquiries regarding products and inventories. Perform inventory control to ensure optimal inventory levels. Provide direction and assistance to colleagues as needed. Maintain inventory reports according to standard documentation and archiving procedures. Count and record merchandises received according to store policies. Perform clerical tasks including answering calls, taking messages, operating printers, and typing letters. Ensure that merchandises received are in accordance with purchase order specifications. Schedule customer deliveries and returns. Responsible for taking boxes and files to FedEx or appropriate delivery vendors as well as delivering and retrieving to/from customers. Utilize word processing applications and spreadsheets for inventory control documentation. Counts Inventory Cycle counts, perpetual inventory auditing. A warehouse inventory control clerk receives and counts items in a warehouse inventory and records the data either manually or on a computer. Unpacks and packs items and stocks them on the shelving systems in a warehouse. Also keeps the stocked items organized and readily accessible. Discrepancies Warehouse inventory clerks compare the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse to the inventory records of a warehouse. If he finds a difference between the stock on hand and the records, he investigates the discrepancy. If necessary, he adjusts the errors in the system, under the direction of the warehouse manager. Inventory Tagging In addition to inventory, clerk marks the stock using a variety of means, including RF radio frequency identification tags, paper tags, labeling equipment or stencils, or other marking equipment. Cleans and maintains the warehouse and the tools and equipment in the warehouse to keep things in order and in compliance with federal, state, and local safety rules. With guidance from the warehouse manager, he also determines proper storage procedures and inventory control methods. Stock Inspection An inventory control clerk examines items in inventory for defects, wear, or damage, and reports this information to the warehouse manager. He maintains records of damaged stock and damaged warehouse materials-handling equipment. In addition, he provides guidance and direction to other warehouse workers. All other duties as assigned.
