Church of the Ascension is looking for a part-time Church Custodian to assist with the maintenance of our buildings and grounds as part of our overall ministry of hospitality. The Church Custodian will ensure that all publicly accessible areas of the church are clean and ready for our members, staff, and guests to use. A suitable candidate will possess an understanding of proper cleaning methods, chemical handling, proper cleaning techniques, and the ability to make minor repairs. The custodian will be observant, respectful, motivated, and committed to providing church members, visitors, and staff with a clean, orderly place to worship and congregate. The custodian will be committed to the overall mission of the church of providing opportunities for all people to connect, grow, and serve; and will abide by Christian values in word and action. The church custodian will be paid between $12-14 per hour depending on skill level/experience. This is a part-time position with no benefits.
