Great opportunity for a Microbiology Technician located in Bell CA.
Ideal candidate will be responsible for the product testing and microbial analysis of raw materials, in-process bulk, finished products, process water, and environmental swabs.
Responsibilities Provide laboratory documentation for release of finished product on a timely basis.Ensure results are accurately recorded, reviewed, and verified using Good Documentation Practices and GMPs.Perform internal audits of the laboratory to ensure compliance and audit readinessSupport failure and root cause analysis investigationsMust perform all facets of media preparations such as measuring, weighing, lifting and moving heavy and/or hot pans of autoclave media and biohazardous waste, maintain quality control and media inventory records
QualificationsMinimum two years’ experience in a Quality Control/Microbiologist capacity or related role in a manufacturing environmentB.S. in Biology, Chemistry or science discipline Experience working in a lab environment for the Personal Care industryExperience developing personal care products (natural and organic products a plus).Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment: pH meter, viscometer, homogenizer, etc.Creative and able to think out of the box
