Job purpose Installation and Repair of Cat5,Cat6, and Fiber Optic Cabling Networks and Devices Duties and responsibilities Installing/replacing of network equipment such as Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points, Access Control Devices, etc. Installing/replacing Network Cat 5/6, Fiber Optic, and control wiring, surface/flush mount jacks, Patch Panels and wall plates Troubleshooting and repair/replace of wiring, hardware and network equipment Communicating to the Supervisor/Customer the work you’ll be doing and what to expect while you’re working Ability to travel when required Qualifications High-School Diploma or equivalent required 3-years relevant experience with Network Installations Excellent Fire Penetrations installation skills Experience in Various types of installations of Networks Strong Trouble shooting skills Self-motivated Road warrior Clear Background/drug Check and Driving record. Working conditions Commercial/Medical environments including Hospitals, Doctors Offices, Restaurants, Warehouses, Business Offices, etc... Primarily indoor work but not excluding some outdoor work. Standing or working from a ladder, personnel lift, or scaffold, in many types of environments, not limit to offices, drop ceilings and attics around other people, and team members, sometimes in a busy and or crowded surroundings. Physical requirements Bending, stooping and standing sometimes for extended periods. Working from a ladder or lift. Ability to lift 75lbs. Weekend projects and overtime do occur. Employees must be able to travel as jobs are located in various areas across the Carolinas and at times in other states. Typically higher pay for travel assignments.
