The Janitor performs manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of school classrooms, office space and Restrooms. Duties require moderate physical strength and stamina. Work includes dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment. The performance of these duties are Monday - Friday Evenings Only at EVIT East Campus located at 6625 S. Power Rd. Mesa. (4:30pm - 9:30pm) Regular Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1. Empty trash containers and recycle receptacles. 2. Dust mop, sweep, wet mop, buff floors. 3. Vacuum rugs and carpets. 4. Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restroom supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap, and other items. 5. Dust and clean walls, doors windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces. 6. Clean and sanitize kitchen/break room area 7. Dust, clean and polish furniture 8. Clean elevators and stairwells and glass on stairwells 9. Clean door glass interior and exterior. 10. Clean inside and applicable outside window glass 11. Police areas around outside of building 12. Perform related work as required and instructed Requirements: Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the performance of the job Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor and fellow workers Spearhead specialized projects which may or may not be directly related to cleaning. Specialize in knowledge and operations of mechanical cleaning equipment Specialize in floor care for both carpet and hard floor Perform equipment and supply inventory at various locations Additional Information: Must be able to communicate in English verbally and written.
