Small family run business looking to add a hard working apprentice eager to learn the process of manufacturing stone memorials. This is an immediate opening for someone who learns quickly, can stay organized and work in a team environment. Apprentice would be trained in all aspects of monument craftsman job, including layouts, stencil preparation, sandblasting, stone shape carving, delivering and setting of granite memorials, monuments and headstones. Additional skill sets that can be developed include sawing, polishing, stone repair, carving. Apprentice would also assist with handling, cleaning and maintenance of production shop area and equipment. This is a working stone shop environment which also includes outside work. Some working conditions may include dust/dirt, water, heat, damp, cold. No prior skills in monument production required. Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Schedule: Part time, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 2 PM; Hours can be somewhat flexible
