Atelier 4 Inc is a provider of fine-arts shipping and handling services, with over 30 years as an industry leader. We are seeking a safe-working carpenter & crate builder for full-time work at our Long Island City packing shop. Candidates should have the following qualifications: -- 1 to 2 years in crating, wood-shop, fabrication, or related experience. -- Working tool knowledge: table saw, chop saw, pneumatic tools, hand tools. -- Wood-shop skills, safe handling practices, familiarity with power tools. -- Knowledge of basic art handling or fragile goods handling is a plus. -- Minimum of high school degree or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age. -- Ability to safely lift and handle at least 50 pounds as part of the daily activities. -- Ability to work extended periods standing, bending, lifting, and/or carrying. Atelier 4 Inc provides a positive and safe work environment, with company benefits (health-plan, paid time-off, etc) and skills training available. Starting rate is $19.00/hr and up based on experience. After six months of safe performance, we will provide a skills & pay-rate review for wood-shop staff. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.A. Covid-19 Note: Safety comes first. A4 adheres to CDC guidelines. Our staff interact following social distancing protocol.
