Position: Field Collection Technician TeakOrigin is a biochemistry data company located in Boston, MA. Our goal is to enable a world where food is understood by everyone. To do this, TeakOrigin provides quality information about food in major markets based on scientific data. Key Responsibilities • Execute data collection for a major market • Plan and execute sample sourcing trips • Organize daily sample collections • Travel to our Waltham lab location • Collect accurate data on a PC-based software • Ability to follow established quality standards, SOPs, and process control plans • Complete daily and weekly status reports • Transfer data (including pictures and receipts) to cloud folders • Provide feedback to direct supervisor and management team on progress of the effort Qualifications • Experience: 0+ years • Education: minimum high school degree, Associate/Bachelors Degree desirable • Relocation Eligible: No • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail - Interest in food, food systems, nutrition, science a plus Details • Successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States. • Valid driver’s license • Car is required for sample collection • Ability to lift up to 20 lb grocery bags • Contractor position • Hours = Up-to 40 hours/week (flexible schedule possible) • Start Date: March 1, 2021 or sooner • Opportunity to grow and manage other operators, locations, and projects TeakOrigin is an equal opportunity employer.
