“Mirror mirror on the wall, Am I really dumbest of all?”-said no trump supporter ever! Because they have become drunk on the heady power of believing their hero/savior is the greatest leader on earth! It has to do with “identity politics”, where the victim believes his chosen one believes just like they do. It does not matter that the savior is a crass pos, they never see that side because they are blinded by his bullshit. The majority of the insurrectionists were male and overwhelmingly evangelical Christians. It seems that this group is readily capable of abandoning true Christian principles in order to install an authoritarian figure in place of a duly elected official. They want their way regardless of the fact that they ARE NOT IN THE MAJORITY! They didn’t win, but believe the lies from republicans that they did. That places the onus on the republicans for the actions they have both performed and ignored for 5 years! There will be consequences to the GOP.
