Job Description Overview Of The Job This job requires providing excellent and humane care for all animals in the building. Duties include, but are not limited to, feeding, cleaning and general care for pets and building. Success Criteria & Essential Skills · Caring and compassionate about animals, this role will provide all the care and attention in our building. · A calming and nurturing nature is essential as the kennel. · Professionalism is required at all times. · Responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of interior and exterior of building, dog suites and kennel areas, this role involves a lot of physical and strenuous activity and endurance; · Excellent customer service skills are required as the role interacts with customers, employees and volunteers on a daily basis. · This position requires an easy going attitude and strives to work as a team to accomplish daily goals and on-going projects; Education · Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D; · Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Experience · Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment substance screening. · Team-focused and willing to work and learn different parts of the organization. · Must demonstrate excellent communication skills including verbal and listening. · Customer service and working with the public is preferred. · Ability to report to work as early as 6:00am and end as late as 6:00pm. · Will work weekends and holidays. · A driver's license is preferred; · Physical Requirements · Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants. · Should not be allergic to animals; must be able to work around all animals · Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform strenuous physical activities including frequent walking and running, standing, bending and stooping. Working Conditions · Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches. · Works in an area with a high noise levels. · Works both indoors and outdoors.
