Lake Elmo Independant Living (aged 55 and up) - Opening in April 2021. Nestled in a small quaint community of Lake Elmo, MN. Near Stillwater and St. Croix. Forty-two apartments and eighteen townhomes. Awesome outdoor space - includes pickle ball court, bocce ball and fire pit area. Located next to Ebenezer's Arbor Glen Senior Living offering opportunities for collaboration of resident programs and services. We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support our Independant Living Community and Senior Living Community. This maintenance position is responsible for monitoring preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment for the Assisted Living community. This position includes: 1.0 FTE or 80 hours in two weeks Day shift On-call every other week Weekends as needed Assisting at Arbor Glen Senior Living Benefit eligible ( PTO, Medical, Dental, Retirement, Tuition reimbursement) Responsibilities/Job Description -Repairs and maintains physical equipment and structure(s) including: -Items on work orders -Checks kitchen equipment -Changes filters and checks belts on air handling units -Greases, checks belts and oils on laundry equipment -Grounds keeping; removing snow from sidewalks and walkways, trims around bushes, trees and sidewalks -Assists with moving boxes, furniture and apartment turnover -Helps in housekeeping as requested -Other duties as assigned -Trains other building staff, as needed on basic trouble-shooting of building systems and equipment Qualifications Required: -One to three years previous experience in a similar environment/duties -Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team -Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, vendors and visitors -Must be able to follow written and verbal repair instructions and directions Preferred: -High school diploma or GED preferred -Vocations/Technical training preferred As part of Fairview Health Services, Ebenezer is driven to heal, discover and educate for longer, healthier and meaningful lives for seniors.
