A successful driller's helper, assistant equipment operator aids our operators and engineers in operating heavy equipment used to collect data and soil samples at construction sites. This person will work closely with equipment operators, gaining hands-on experience with unique heavy machinery in a variety of environments, learning basic maintenance, and providing consistent, high-quality upkeep of the rig and general working area. A successful candidate must have a strong desire to learn, an energetic work ethic, and be unafraid to get his or her hands dirty. Experience with Cone Penetration Testing and/or Geoprobe equipment and/or general drilling and sampling is a huge plus. No experience required... we will train. Basic knowledge of manual labor and hand tool use is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Truck driving experience is helpful. Must pass a fit-for-duty physical and drug test prior to beginning employment. Must enjoy working outdoors and travelling for extended periods of time. Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Must be eligible to work in USA and have all required documents to complete the statutory I-9 form.
