Lead Carpenter/Foreman We are a design and construction company located in Berkeley and Petaluma, in business since 2009. We are looking for a Lead Carpenter/Foreman to lead indoor residential remodel and exterior landscape carpentry construction projects in the Sonoma and Marin Counties. Description: The primary job tasks will be overseeing 1-2 residential construction job sites as a foreman, with crews of 2-3 people. The candidate should have ample carpentry experience and be willing to train crew members’ carpentry skills. Responsibilities: • Lead and train crew members • Manage and schedule subcontractors • Read and understand building and landscape plans to identify issues and information as needed • Ability to troubleshoot carpentry solutions on site • Skilled carpentry for interior remodels and landscape structures • Monitor schedule to ensure it is on track • Communicate daily with Construction Project Manager • Use foresight for materials and tools needed at the jobsite to keep the schedule on track; create materials lists • Notify Construction Project Manager when Inspections are required • Ensure the quality and productivity of the project • Communicate effectively with client/homeowner, Construction Project Manager, crew and subcontractors Skills and Proficiencies: • 10+ years construction and carpentry experience • Willing and able to train crew on carpentry skills • Driver’s license required • High school degree required • Able to work in the East Bay and North Bay • Able to lift 50 lbs • Able to follow instruction and safety protocols • Work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude • Read and understand plans to execute the design intent • Knowledge of building and construction practices and building codes • Proficiency in English required, proficiency in Spanish preferred Benefits for Full Time Employees Includes: • Healthcare • Paid Time Off • Compensation starts at $32/ hour and depends on experience Please submit your resume via the craigslist email link.
