Journeyman Solar Service Technician

Description

We are a local Santa Cruz electrical contractor who has been in business for 15 years with a variety of projects including commercial solar and electrical, residential solar and electrical, electrical vehicle charging stations, and energy storage systems. We have an available position for a full time Journeyman Solar Service Technician. Responsibilities: - Servicing, Maintaining and Troubleshooting Commercial and Residential Solar PV systems. - Installing and Troubleshooting Solar/Power Monitoring and Data Communication Hardware, Software, and device Firmware. - Customer Service Qualifications: - CA Certified General Electrician or seasoned electrical professional. - 3+ years of experience. - Have strong technical knowledge of all the major inverter, module, monitoring brands such as SMA, SolarEdge, Enphase, Canadian Solar, AlsoEnergy. - Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). - Be able to present a clean, professional image. - Be able to clearly communicate with supervisors, customers and homeowners. - Be able to communicate effectively with technical support to facilitate product servicing and RMAs. - Be able to devise logical, and efficient methods of troubleshooting complex and difficult electrical issues. - Able to work independently or with others. - Attention to detail. - Long term oriented. - Strong work ethic. Requirements: - Strong electrical and NEC knowledge. - Clean Driving Record and valid Driver’s License. - Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute. - Job is physically demanding so full mobility and lifting ability required. Some of the physical requirements include lifting heavy objects, climbing on ladders, crawling, standing and bending for long periods of time. - High School Diploma or equivalent.
