Description
WOODBRIDGE, NJ – Woodbridge reported the fewest number of new coronavirus cases since November over the weekend, with 131 over three days, Mayor John McCormac announced Monday.
The township reported 50 new cases on Friday, 33 new cases on Saturday and 48 new cases on Sunday.
McCormac said it was unclear whether the low numbers are a result of residents inability to get to testing sites due to snow, so it will take a few more days to see if the numbers are truly trending downward in the area.
The township also reported five additional coronavirus-related deaths.
McCormac encouraged resident to check in with their homebound neighbors during winter weather – keeping in mind to continue following social distancing and mask-wearing protocols.
