Parking Ban Remains In Effect, Transfer Station Closed In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Officials are reminding residents that the parking ban issued Feb. 1 remains in effect in Hamden. The ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway, according to the Public Works Department. The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any Town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle. The Hamden Public Works Department also reminds residents that the Transfer Station is again closed until further notice due to the weather and associated clean-up operations.
