EAST HAVEN, CT — Based on the list, it looks like President John Quincy Adams' favorite food was fresh fruit. By comparison, modern-day presidents are fans of foods like hot dogs, pizza and cheeseburgers. East Haven kids can "eat like a president" this weekend with meal packs filled with presidential foods. "The pack includes nutritious breakfast and lunch meals for five days," it reads, and, "All students are eligible to receive a President's Day weekend meal pack." Distribution is Thursday at East Haven High School food service entrance from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and at James Melillo Middle School, the front of the building, from 12:30 to 1: 30 p.m.
