KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office has set up a clinic to vaccinate officers, judges and attorneys against the coronavirus as part of the Phase 1b of the state's vaccine rollout. Sheriff Ron Hain said his office is continuing to "work shoulder to shoulder" with the Kane County Health Department by providing vaccines this month after spending the previous 11 months storing and transporting personal protective gear and conducting coronavirus testing. Kane County Tops 49K Coronavirus Cases, Nears 700 Deaths The Kane County Sheriff's Office is vaccinating law enforcement officers, judges, public defenders and employees at the state's attorneys office, according to a news release. It was an "easy transition" for the sheriff's office to start providing vaccines, as some deputies are also certified as paramedics and emergency medical technicians, Hain said. The sheriff's office is expected to set up additional clinics to vaccinate residents when there is a larger supply of vaccines.
