BRIDGEPORT, CT — An 11-year-old boy performed CPR on his mother and called 911 after she was choked unconscious by a man on probation for threatening and assault, according to The Connecticut Post.
Police were called shortly before 8 p.m. to a home on Remington Street, where they found the boy resuscitating the mother. The boy told police that Israel Vargas, 37, had been choking his mother.
Vargas was charged with first-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, violating a protective order, reckless endangerment, and five counts of risk of injury to a child. He was held on $250,000 bail.
