In Chester Township, Chatham and Parsippany-Troy Hills, residents are asked to help keep fire hydrants accessible by removing snow and ice and clearing a wide enough perimeter around the hydrant (3 feet) for firefighters to work. There also should be a path from the hydrant to the street. As a reminder, Fire Prevention would like to remind citizens to clear hydrants near their homes.
