WINDSOR, CA — An investigation was continuing into a shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries Saturday in a Westside Windsor neighborhood, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said. The shooting was reported around 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Gemini Drive, where multiple callers heard shots fired, sheriff's Sgt. Juan Valencia said. A deputy with the Windsor Police Department found a 30-year-old man lying in the roadway, bleeding from gunshot wounds. The deputy gave the man first-aid by applying pressure to his gunshot wounds, Valencia said. Paramedics then arrived and took the shooting victim to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Residents in the area of Gemini and Binggelli drives were ordered to shelter in place for nearly three hours as the shooting was investigated. No suspects were immediately located. Crime scene technicians found multiple shell casings and cars with bullet holes. As of Sunday, detectives were working to identify the responsible parties by following leads, processing evidence and attempting to locate more witnesses or victims, Valencia said. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Sheriff's Dispatch Center at 707-565-2121.
