DANVILLE, CA — Patch reader Margo of Danville shared this beautiful photo of her vasilopita. Vasilopita is a Greek cake, traditionally served on the New Year, and so named because Jan. 1 is St. Basil (Vasili) Day, she said. A gold coin is baked into the cake and whoever finds it will have good luck in the New Year, she said. Just because it's February doesn't mean you can't give this tasty dessert a try!
