The Wyndham Garden San Diego is hosting a Job Fair for various positions at the hotel property. Many of the positions represent entry-level and mid-level experienced candidates with knowledge and abilities that are maintained within the designated job descriptions. A review of these job descriptions are fundamental duties that are implemented with key components to the structure of the hotel's work place. Job Positons: Room Attendant Houseman Laundry Attendants Public Area Attendant Maintenance Engineers Housekeeping Duties: Cleaning hotel rooms, gathering soiled linens, wash linens replacing be coverings, cleaning property grounds, answering guest requests, replenishing guest supplies, furnishing work equipment to clean rooms for Room Attendants, dusting furniture, waste removal, restocking of hotel amenities, and a host of other detailed responsibilities within the designated departments. Engineer Duties: Have experience fixing plumbing issues, some roof repairs, floor fixes, light installation, painting, stucco repairs, equipment regulating, HVAC, pool maintenance, and many additional duties within the scope of Engineering department. Candidate must be able to work in fast environment. Paying attention to details is required for all positions along with following the standard guidelines of the hotel and company policies. All candidates must focus on various roles throughout each department. Work Conditions: The demands of cleaning requires a hotel employee to be in good health and physical conditions. Strict safety guidelines are in place due to COVID standard issued by the CDC. All PPE requirements must be followed. Some heavy lifting maybe required up to 20lbs. Long walking and standing for extended periods of time will be needed during some work shifts. Some repetitive work will be involved in some departments, but training on proper procedures will be implemented. Additional requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of work experience with the housekeeping department. Candidates for Maintenance must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the related department. All candidates must be 18 years or older. All candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. Have a valid ID is required upon hire. Must have a positive and friendly personality. Communication skills both written and verbal are a must! Detailed oriented person is key to these positions. Flexible work schedules are needed. Ability to work amongst various diversities of people. Ability to work with some tools and equipment depending on the assigned departments.
