Press release from St. John the Baptist: February 8, 2021 WEST ISLIP, NY – St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School is excited to welcome Vincent Catapano as its new Director of Alumni. Vincent is enthusiastic about his new role and looks forward to meeting the members of the St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School community. Vincent is the product of a Catholic education, having attended Catholic grammar school in the Diocese of Brooklyn before attending Regis High School in Manhattan. After graduating college, Vincent worked for the New York City Council for several years before embarking on his career in education. He got his start as a Physical Education and Health teacher at St. Mary Gate of Heaven School, in Ozone Park, Queens. He then undertook the roles of Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Alumni Relations at his alma mater, Regis High School, for over a decade. He was especially proud to additionally serve as Regis' Head Varsity Soccer Coach, leading his teams to over 250 wins and two Catholic High School Intersectional Championships. Vincent resides in Hicksville with his wife of 13 years, Danielle, and their two sons, Jack and Ryan. In his spare time, he enjoys sharing his passion for soccer with his sons and experimenting with new and varied cooking techniques for family dinners. Vincent is eager to share his enthusiasm for Catholic education with the St. John the Baptist community. He looks forward to offering communications and programming of interest to Alumni across all decades and strengthening their connection with their beloved alma mater.
