DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Bond was denied Monday to an Arizona man accused of rape, battery and false imprisonment after a Friday-night incident at a Douglas County apartment complex. Camryn Lee Hooker, 21, was booked Saturday by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office on charges of simple battery, obstructing or harassing 911 calls, false imprisonment and strongarm rape. Jail records show his address as being in Tucson, Arizona. According to the warrant as reported by The Douglas County Sentinel, Hooker made physical contact of "an insulting and provoking nature" by grabbing the hood of the victim's sweatshirt as she tried to escape, leaving red marks on her neck. The warrant also stated that Hooker took the victim's cell phone and forced himself on her against her will. Hooker was denied bond in magistrate court on the grounds that he posed "a significant danger to the community/victim," according to court documents as reported by the Sentinel. He's currently being held in the Douglas County Jail.
