Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd., a Keller company, is an established post-tension and rebar manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We supply construction related materials to builders from one of our eight facilities in the US. We are looking for Slab on Ground Field Superintendent to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a full-time permanent placement benefit eligible opportunity. Field Superintendent Requirements: 1) Communication skills – thoroughly communicate with customers in a professional manner. Communicate concise expectations to sub-contractors 2) Organization Skills – ability to control more than a dozen subdivisions with over ½ dozen jobs going on simultaneously. Schedule appropriate workforce. 3) Problem Solver – ability to keep composure with under pressure. Solving problems using critical path method and on the fly. 4) Time Management – Lean time management, staying fluid, not bogging down in one area. 5) Hard Worker – go the extra mile to make sure the customers’ needs are met. Exceed the customers expectation. 6) Eager to Learn – Every day is different. Ability to pick up new methods to streamline your process. Self-diagnose 7) Summertime hours may reach 12-hour days during very busy periods Duties will include: • Drive assigned sub-divisions to monitor customers work progress, record in log • Measure foundations for correct material take-offs • Order material to be delivered based on the customer’s needs • Witness and record elongations and turn them in for review • Investigate slab repairs, shortages, and any other field issue • Schedule and manage installation crews to meet the customer’s needs • Meet with customer superintendents to develop relationships Qualified candidates will some experience in the slab on ground construction industry in a similar capacity. Must be able to remain calm under pressure and have a positive attitude. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and possess excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills.
